A Perfect Location for Weddings & Conferences
Our central Iowa location makes Grinnell a convenient gathering place. We are located along Interstate 80 halfway between Des Moines and Iowa City, an easy drive from every corner of the state and beyond. Hotel Grinnell is nestled in the heart of downtown Grinnell. You will be in the center of activity here, within walking distance of numerous independent restaurants, unique shopping, Central Park, the Strand Theatre, and the Grinnell College campus.
Our ballroom is a fabulous setting for luncheons, dinner receptions, cocktail parties, trade shows, meetings, concerts, conferences, and more. It is the perfect backdrop for both casual and classy events.

The theater is historic (1921) venue for entertainment and musical performances, lectures, big screen video presentations/movies, wedding ceremonies and more. The venue is fully equipped with stage and spot lighting and a first rate sound system.

The Bar & Outdoor Patio
Host a lovely daytime event or lively evening affair on our outdoor patio. This flexible space is ideal for pre- or post- function events and cocktail parties. The patio even has overhead string lighting and gas fire pits!

The Penthouse is over the top with a canopy bed, tub for two, shower for two and living area. The suite has a private dressing room with salon chair and full size mirror. The Penthouse has a separate large flexible space ideal for pre and post function events, board meetings and small parties. The Penthouse is complementary when you book your wedding or large conference at Hotel Grinnell.
